Calling Beaver brew enthusiasts

Celebrate some of the brightest graduates from the OSU Fermentation Science Department with the new Alumni Club collaborative brewing series, set to release annually. Beaver grads from Block 15 Brewery and New York’s Other Half Brewing kick off the inaugural release, Brooklyn Chapter.

At the helm of whole-grain nutrition

Trey Winthrop, ’93, is set to move into the role of CEO for Bob’s Red Mill, a nationally leading company in whole-grain nutrition and a supporter of the OSU College of Public Health and Human Sciences. In his 16 years at the company, Winthrop has expanded products as well as championed sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion.

A romance fit for Hollywood

In a tale of longtime friendship, budding chemistry and — this year — marriage, The New York Times featured OSU alumna and OSUAA Board Member Claire Conroy Brown, ’00, and her spouse Karin Gist. The two met on the set of the TV show “Girlfriends” soon after Brown graduated with a political science degree and moved to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry.
