How you can help level the playing field in youth sports | March 8

Teaching kids how to master their body movements is an essential duty for every coach, no matter what sport. Learn strategies for giving instructions and feedback and reinforcing patterns in a free in-person training with OSU kinesiology faculty designed for current and prospective coaches of all experience levels.

Empty Bowls fight against student hunger | March 11

This fall and winter, 460+ donors gave more than $132,000 to make an immediate difference for students by supporting food pantry services on the Corvallis and Bend campuses. Will you build on their support? Register for OSU’s 17th Annual Empty Bowls benefit where you can enjoy a meal among fellow Beavers with music, activities for kids and a silent auction — all funds support the OSU Basic Needs Center and Fresh and Local First, a nonprofit that serves Linn and Benton counties.

Scientists search Antarctica for Earth’s oldest ice

Braving the cold to drill miles down into the ice cores of Antarctica, 22 scientists from the OSU-led Center for Oldest Ice Exploration, or COLDEX, are in search of the world’s oldest piece of ice to uncover an important record of Earth’s climate and environmental history.

Beaver gymnasts set a new all-time high for OSU

Oregon State gymnasts are beaming with pride after sealing the first 198+ beam score in school history and tying the program’s second-highest floor score on the way to a victory against Stanford.
