Women’s Track & Field had a historic end of season
In the NCAA Women’s Track & Field Championships, Oregon State’s All-Americans Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh made history. Placing sixth, Mitchell scored OSU points at an outdoor championship meet for the first time since 1986, and together, the pair made OSU one of only two programs in NCAA history to have two Steeplechasers go under 9:40:00 in the same year. Go Beavs!
Three cheers for Beaver Baseball
Although Oregon State’s postseason ended within inches of securing a College World Series appearance, our tenacious players gave Beaver Nation every reason to be proud. That pride was tangible in the thundering crowds that packed Goss Stadium, broke game attendance records and rallied our student-athletes during every game.
We may have left without a championship, but never without champions. National Pitcher of the Year Cooper Hjerpe and Jacob Melton were named First Team All-Americans, as well as Freshman All-Americans Travis Bazzana, Ryan Brown and Jacob Kmatz.
Congratulations to the Beavs for an edge-of-your-seat season. We can’t wait to see what next year brings — go Beavs!
Student-athletes brought the postseason heat
Did you know? This year, 14 out of 16 Oregon State teams advanced to play in the postseason. That’s the most postseason teams in OSU history! Congratulations to our persevering student-athletes, coaches and staff.
