LAS VEGAS, NV-- In the many years head coach Scott Rueck has been at the helm in Corvallis, he has accomplished many things. He coached the 2015-2016 Beavers to a Final Four appearance.
He led the Beavers to back-to-back Pac-12 Tournament final appearances, winning one of them in 2016 and he's had the Beavers in the Top-25 in nine out of the 14 seasons he's coached.
But during this 2023-2024 season, coach Rueck and the Beavers have done something that no team in program history has ever done.
Go from unranked to making it into the Top-10 and win on the road against an opponent ranked in the Top-5.
This season has been truly special for coach Rueck and the Oregon State Beavers, which is why on Wednesday coach Rueck was announced as this season's Pac-12 Coach of the Year by media members.
The announcement marks the fifth time coach Rueck has won the award in his 14 seasons in Corvallis.
