Win #275: Rueck Becomes Winningest Coach In Program History in Front of Packed House for Field Trip Game

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck became the winningest coach in Oregon State women's basketball history in front of a raucous crowd of 8,454 on field trip day.
 
The win, Rueck's 275th as OSU's head coach, was a 79-53 victory over Weber State where the Beavs thoroughly outpaced the Widlcats in the game's opening quarter and then coasted to the victory.
 
Raegan Beers led OSU with 24 points and 12 rebounds, her fifth-straight double-double. Beers is just the third player in Oregon State history to have five straight double-doubles on two occaisions, joining Carol Menken and Tanja Kostic. The sophomore also blocked four shots and dished three assists.
 
Outside of Beers, the Beavers had an extremely balanced day scoring. Six other players had at least five points and everyone who played scored at least two. The team's low scorer on the day – Donovyn Hunter – led the squad with five assists, part of an effort that saw the Beavs assist on 28 of 32 made baskets. Six players had three-or-more assists.
 
Everyone saw the floor in the victory with every Beav playing at least five minutes and just two surpassing 20 minutes played, showcasing the excellent depth present on this year's OSU team.
 
Kelsey Rees and Talia von Oelhoffen were the second-leading scorers on the day with eight points each. Rees also grabbed four boards and made 2-for-3 from three while von Oelhoffen recorded two steals and a block.
 
All told, Oregon State shot 55.2 percent from the floor while holding Weber State to 37.7 percent. The Beavs also made 36 percent of their three-pointers, hitting half in the first half before tapering off a bit in the second. OSU outrebounded WSU 39-26.
 
Oregon State returns to Gill Coliseum on Saturday, December 2 to battle Western Kentucky. Tip is set for 2 p.m.
