We are pleased to celebrate International Women’s Day, recognizing extraordinary achievements by women within OSU and globally and highlighting continuing efforts to ensure gender equality throughout higher education, the workplace and society. In keeping with the United Nation’s 2024 theme, “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress” and the International Women’s Day Organization’s 2024 theme “Inspire Inclusion” we are delighted to welcome guest OSU speakers Marie Harvey, OSU Distinguished Professor of Public Health and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Health and Catherine Bolzendahl, Director of the School of Public Policy and Professor of Sociology in the College of Liberal Arts.

AYA-versary is a celebration in honor of women of color and their contributions to history and society. Explore diverse vendors and engage with OSU clubs and organizations dedicated to the causes of women on campus. Stop by the ASOSU table to check out the interactive art display and make a DIY mini-bouquet in honor of International Women's Day. In celebration of International Women’s Day, 2024, The Little Gallery presents works by regional artist Vicki Idema which illustrate and bring awareness to social and environmental issues affecting women and highlight those who overcame obstacles to reach their goals.
International Mom’s Group IWD Celebration

This celebratory event showcases the cultures of international moms in the Corvallis community. Enjoy cultural booths, panels, flag processional, and traditional clothing and foods. Open to the public, children and families welcome.
OSU-Cascades International Women’s Day Celebration

The Library will be hosting "blind date with a book" by international women authors; Planned Parenthood, the American Studies program, and the MFA in Writing program will be tabling; and share words by your favorite, inspiring woman-identified and nonbinary wordsmiths at the open mic!

International Faculty and Scholar Coffee Social

This is a special invitation for international communities, their families and friends to join us for conversation, coffee, tea and light snacks. Everyone is invited! We hold this event on the second Friday of every month (except August) so we hope you can join us to meet other OSU international faculty, visitors, family members and community members. You may stop by at any time, and no reservation is needed.
Innovation Panel

Join us for a panel discussion to hear three international women entrepreneurs talk about their journey from research to societal impact. These three researchers/faculty members have created companies based on their work at OSU and will share their experiences, their current stage of company and product development, how they balance their academic responsibilities with their startup activities, and how their I&E work has contributed to their professional growth. Feel free to bring your lunch!
HP/OSU International Women’s Week Networking Event
March 20th , 2:30-5:30pm, HP Campus, 1040 NE Circle Blvd

The HP Corvallis Women’s Business Resource Group iwelcomes OSU faculty and staff for a Women’s Networking Event to meet other professional women in the community and share experiences supporting, developing and promoting women. Barbara McManus from HP and Teresita Alvarez-Cortez from OSU will speak.
Group members share stories about challenges they have faced and how they are passing their culture on to their children while living in the US.
Freshman student Camille Chap said, "It feels really good, it really feels like the university actually supports women and people who identify as women on campus and I really appreciate it.”
