After diagnostic testing at OSU’s veterinary hospital to find the cause of a seizure she experienced over the summer, 6-year-old Amur tiger — a critically endangered species — Bernadette from the Oregon Zoo is back to her healthy, playful self.

White House calls on professor’s nuclear engineering expertise

Brian Woods, head of the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering, has been appointed by President Joe Biden to the U.S. Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board, which provides scientific and technical oversight for the nation’s nuclear waste management and disposal. Woods is the Henry W. and Janice J. Schuette Chair in Nuclear Engineering and Radiation Health Physics, an endowed position.

Beavs in the Super Bowl

Two Beavers in the NFL — Isaac Seumalo, ’17, and (practice squad) Noah Togiai, ’20 — have advanced to one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Look for them at Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12, where they’ll play with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Completing Reser Stadium is in the home stretch

One year ago, the revitalization of Reser began with a boom — the January 2021 implosion. On track to be completed for the 2023 season, the project’s milestones are well underway for a best-in-class gameday fan experience and year-round health care and wellness facilities for students and the community.
