Beavers Headed to UCSB For First Road Contest of 2022

THE GAME: The Oregon State men's soccer team will hit the road for the first time this season, when it heads to California to take on UC Santa Barbara.

- Nicklas Lund led all Oregon State field players with 1,870 minutes played last season, starting all 20 matches on the OSU back line.
- Gael Gibert, Javier Armas and Lund are the only three Beavers to play every minute in the first two matches.
- Luis Castillo is second in the Pac-12 in goals against average

The Matchup:
- Oregon State is 2-1-2 all-time vs. UC Santa Barbara, with their last meeting being a 1-1 draw in Corvallis last season. The Beavers took the lead within the first five minutes of that contest, before the - Gauchos leveled the score in the 75th minute.
- Friday's contest will mark the Beavers' second contest against Big West competition this season, as Oregon State topped UC Davis 2-1 in its season opener.
- This match will be the first of five Oregon State games to be played in the state of California. The Beavers will also head to the Golden State for a quartet of conference matchups against California, Stanford, UCLA and San Diego State
