Meet the 2022 Building Diversity honorees

The Daily Journal of Commerce has announced its Building Diversity honorees for 2022. The recognition and education program celebrates and examines diversity, equity and inclusion within the local building industry and environment. The following companies, projects and individuals will be recognized during a virtual event on March 31:

Companies – BRIC Architecture, Evergreen Developers, Kiewit Infrastructure Group, Killian Pacific, M.A. Mortenson Company, Pacificmark Construction, Turner Construction and Walsh Construction.

Projects – Las Adelitas, LMC Construction; Lower Elochoman III Floodplain Restoration, Columbia Land Trust; and Portland Airport Consolidated Rental Car Center (PACR), JE Dunn Construction.

Individuals – Scott Ashford, Kearney Dean of Engineering, Oregon State University College of Engineering; Josh Guerra, senior project architect, Otak Inc.; Tyrone Henry, diversity, equity and inclusion lead, Energy Trust of Oregon; and Elissa Looney, director of strategic initiatives, Perlo Construction.

In addition to recognition of this year’s honorees, the virtual event will include: a welcome address with key information, statistics and topic perspective; a keynote presentation/panel discussion featuring nationally recognized experts and local leaders; and an opportunity for networking with honorees and attendees.

The event will take place online from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Individual tickets cost $20; registration is required to receive log-in details.
