Join the worldwide Oregon State community to celebrate graduates on their special day. OSU invites 2020 and 2021 grads to participate in an in-person celebratory processional on June 11 in Corvallis, in addition to virtual commencement activities on June 12 and 13.

Congrats to OSU Baseball

Go Beavs! The Beaver Baseball team advanced to the NCAA tournament for the 20th time in the program’s history. Their postseason journey over the weekend took place in Fort Worth, Texas, and saw the Beavers win three exciting contests before succumbing to regional victor Dallas Baptist. The Beavers finished the season with a 37-24 record. We want to thank our student-athletes, coaches and staff for all of their hard work and dedication!

Sometimes one decision opens countless doors in front of you. With support from the Joan & Tom Skoro Collegiate Recovery Community, John Kittelman, ’18, found the stability he needed to stick with sobriety, finish his master’s degree and land a job at SpaceX.

Facing the climate crisis head-on

Meet the new deputy chief climate officer who has been leading sustainable and humanitarian projects globally since her time at Oregon State. The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation announced Aparna Shrivastava, ’11, as part of its first-ever dedicated team of senior officials focused on climate action.

No. 1 feels good

Oregon State Ecampus is no stranger to earning top 10 national rankings. But in a year that raised the bar for online higher education programs everywhere, ranking first in the nation for Best Online Liberal Arts College means OSU is doing something right.

Celebrating excellence

Congrats to Black Alumni and Friends Network board members Jonathan Riley, ’09, and Temmecha Turner, ’04, for earning recognition at the annual Black Excellence Celebration hosted by the Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center. In addition, Keith Dempsey, ’93, M.S. ’96, Ph.D. ’10, awarded scholarships to five students from the Nia Black Scholar Living-Learning Community.
